Are Y'all From Statefarm?

 Hey Friends and Family!

It's been an eventful couple of weeks here in Valley Ranch.

Cool Story:

A couple weeks ago we were out Street Contacting.  It was a Saturday evening, and all of our plans had fallen through.  It was getting dark, and my companion and I decided to turn in for the night.  As we were walking to our car, we noticed a couple of teenagers playing in the street.  It was getting late,  though, and we decided not to talk to them.

Just as we were about to leave, one of them turned to us and asked "Are y'all from statefarm?"  We chuckled and answered no, we're not.  We explained who we were, and shared a scripture.  Her eyes lit up, and she invited us to come back and share more.

We were still a little wary considering she was a teenager, but we came back.  When we arrived at the door, the parents welcomed us and invited us to come inside and share a message with the whole family.  We shared the message of the restoration, and as we shared Joseph Smith's account of the first vision, the spirit filled the room.  The mom whispered under her breath "amen".  They invited us to come back and share more.

Other cool story:

We went to the temple this week with a family of recent converts.  Many of them had never been, and it was a wonderful experience.  I got to baptize my companion for a woman's deceased husband and father, and the spirit was super strong.  The wife teared up as she thanked us. All who came had a wonderful experience.

Love you all!  Hope you all have a wonderful week!
