Día de Independencia

Hola Todos,

Yesterday was the Uruguayan independence day. The celebrations were honestly a little lackluster. There were no fireworks or big parties, there were just a lot of outdoor barbecues and we sang the national anthem in sacrament meeting (Though I mostly just mumbled along).

We had a super spiritual charla with a new interested person named Pablo. He is super humble and has had a hard life. He already has a testimony of prayer as in key moments in his life he has prayed and received the answers he needs. We shared the restoration and then read Mosiah 24 from the Book of Mormon together. As we talked about what we read he said "God is trying to tell me to be patient, and that he will help me." The spirit was super strong. At the end of the lesson, he prayed and cried as he thanked God for sending us to his door. He promised to come to church and is making plans to turn his life around. We are super excited for him.

Anyways, sorry for a short email, not a lot of time to write. Love you all and hope that you guys have an amazing week,
