These past couple of weeks have been wild! I am now training a new elder and serving as district leader in my area! Things are going really well, though it's been a lot to take in!
We saw two really cool miracles this week! The first was last Monday. We had a meal planned with a part-member family, and we planned on sharing a short message with the nonmember husband. At first, he was really defensive, saying that he had already been saved in a Baptist church and had been raised catholic, so he really didn't see the point in joining another church. As we continued to share our message with him, he started really opening up and we shared a really spiritual message with him. Elder Egbert in particular was able to connect with him, and the spirit was really strong! After dinner at home, we received a call from the husband. He said "Elders, I'm ready! I want to be baptized!" It was really cool. The other experience happened yesterday. We were at the military branch, and after the service a new private approached us and said "I want to know how I can join your church." We were shocked, that doesn't normally happen! He received a copy of the Book of Mormon while in basic training and felt like it was true!
