Run and not be Weary, Walk and not Faint

Hi!!

A little over a week ago, President Escobar called me and extended an assignment to serve as an assistant in the mission. The invitation was humbling, and I immediately felt a sense of inadequacy as I considered how much I looked up to mission assistants and how missionaries would now be looking at me. President asked me how I felt. I mentioned I felt nervous, and he said "good, that means you'll have to depend on the heavens."

Ever since, I've been running. This past week, we welcomed 21 reassigned missionaries into the mission! Next month, we are expected to receive over 40 more. The mission is going through some rapid changes, and we are working hard to keep everything running smoothly. In addition, we are working hard to train the missionaries that have recently arrived through exchanges and counsels. After all of that has been done, we also have an area and work to find, teach, and baptize. It's been exciting, exhausting, invigorating, stressful, fun, tense, spiritual, intense, and wonderful all at once.

We also had an awesome miracle yesterday! A week ago, we gave some copies of the Book of Mormon to a powerful member-missionary. He texted us Saturday letting us know that one of his friends accepted a copy, and he was super excited. Then, yesterday we were returning to our car and a young man with a Bible in his hand started walking with us and talking with us. He said that a friend had offered him a Book of Mormon and he had accepted, and that he was willing to find out if it's true. It was the same guy! On the only day that we had been in the area all week!

Anyways, hope you all have an incredible week!
