First things first, after a long week of travels I made it safely to Uruguay and to my new area in a town called Melo near the Brazilian Uruguay border. The trip was long and harrowing, but I made it and am working to adjust to a new old culture. Being back has flooded me with memories and senses that I haven't experienced in over a year. I'm so excited to be back in my original mission!
My companion is a native Uruguayo from Rivera named Elder Romero. I am finishing his training as he is only in his second transfer here in the mission. However, I feel like I'm being trained more than I'm doing any training. Elder Romero is hardworking and already has a love for missionary work. It's awesome to be able to work with him!
Earlier this week in Texas I had the incredible opportunity to teach the plan of Salvation to an awesome couple named Jim and Jenny. Their daughter is a member, and her example to them has given Jim and Jenny the desire to be baptized. We passed by one day with cookies and they invited us in. Their first question to us was "How do I become a member?" It's awesome to see the work continue in Valley Ranch in the states and to be able to continue the work here in South America!
Les amo mucho!
