Quarantine

Hey everyone,

Short update. Yesterday we received word from our mission leaders that we can't leave our house, and if we do leave we have to wear casual clothes and we can't wear missionary placks (tags?). Still we are doing our best to stay positive. We have a new schedule that allows for more time doing activities in house such as family history and extra language and companionship study. We are also going to do our best to teach people using video calls. Lately I've also been enchanted by Parley P. Pratt's autobiography, which is super interesting. I'd highly recommend it, especially in preparation for the upcoming conference.

I've been thinking a lot lately about the scripture in Helaman 5:12:

12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

It definitely feels like the devil is sending forth his mighty winds, but I know that Christ is a sure foundation upon which if built we cannot fall. Despite the concerns of the world we can feel peace in our Savior and stand firm against the storm.

Anyways if anyone is bored and would like to talk, I can now talk Mondays and Fridays.

Love you all! Hope you all have a great week,

Elder Watts

Also my companion went home :( because he was scheduled to leave in two weeks but Uruguay is stopping flights.

Final photo the night before my companion left.
